Child Protection Services – DV Practice Guide

The Colorado Department of Human Services, under the guidance of the Domestic Violence and Child Protection Coordinating Council, recently released a practice guide meant to offer standardized principles, protocols, and practices to be used by child protection staff when working with families where there is a co-occurence of child maltreatment and domestic violence. While child protection is the main audience, the guide contains important information, tools, and resources for anyone working with families impacted by domestic violence and child maltreatment.
