First-Year Prosecutor Training Modules

Whether you’re a new prosecutor in your first few months or an experienced prosecutor trying to refresh your memory, these modules cover the basics of prosecuting. These modules also offer those key statutes and caselaw citations that can be useful when arguing in court or writing motions and briefs. The resources found in the Resource Menu of each module can also help further augment your knowledge in these areas.

We recommend prosecutors in their first four months review these modules
before attending the in-person Misdemeanor Prosecution Skills class. We also recommend everyone bookmark this page so you can quickly return any time in the future.

Over time, additional modules will be added to this list. If you would like to suggest changes to an existing module or contribute to the development of new modules, please contact brad@cdac.state.co.us.
